Anaqin's Progress Report

Last Friday went for the meet the parents session and was very happy to hear good feedbacks about Anaqin. Alhamdulillah! We're gonna continue to enrol him to the Phonics class and am considering to enrol him to Kumon classes as well .. will see how it goes .. coz we do not want to overload him with extra classes and most important of all, we want him to enjoy school and enjoy studying.

Below are the summary reports: (January 08 to May 08)

Anaqin is a pleasant boy. He is enthusiastic about participating in all activities and gets along well among peers. He is very helpful during clean-up work around the room. 

Anaqin listens attentively during story time and is responsive during question and answer sessions.

Anaqin enjoys music and movement activities very much and is able to follow instructions given during the movement activity.

Mother-Tongue:

Anaqin dapat memahami pelajaran yang diajar guru dan boleh menjawab bila di tanya.

Progress Report (June 08 to Nov 08)

Anaqin is a cheerful boy. He is able to sit quietly and listen during circle time and has inquistive mind. 

Anaqin is able to know and show the differences between big and small objects. He can recognise and name the basic shapes. He knows the letters of the alphabet but need to reinforce on the recognition of the numerals and its values. Anaqin is a good listener who shows keen interest in pictures illustrated in the story books.

Anaqin is able to follow closely to given instructions at the different learning corners and gets along well among peers.

Mother-Tongue:

Anaqin memberikan perhatian apabila guru mengajar. Dia boleh mengimbas kembali pelajaran dan berinteraksi dengan baik.

HARI RAYA 2008

I know this is a little bit late, but i'd like to wish everyone who knows me Selamat Hari Raya .. mohon maaf zahir dan batin. Sorry if lately I've become a silent reader instead of leaving comments ... Hope this raya brings joy to you and your family and may we get to see ramadhan again and celebrate hari raya in many many years to come .. insyaallah ..

Anaqin's Fourth Birthday Celebrated in School (29 Aug 08)

Our precious turned FOUR on 29 Aug. Alhamdulillah. I brought along a cake to be cut and shared among his fellow mates during their refreshment time.

Goodie bags and cupcakes were then given to them to bring home ..

How time flies .. this precious boy of ours is now four. May he be blessed with the best of health and continue to learn as much and be surrounded by love all the time .. insyaallah ..

Greetings From a Full-time Housewife/Mother

Woooaaaaaah ... it's been sometime since I last updated this blog of mine. Work has been crazy lately. We've moved offices from Forum in Orchard to Raeburn Park in Tanjong Pagar. A vast difference indeed. No more lunch-time shopping for me!

Anyway as indicated on the title above, I AM indeed a full-time housewife and mother, well at least for this one whole month! My helper has gone for her home-leave for a month and I applied for leave to look after my precious boys.

Being a housewife and a mother of 2 very active and demanding boys is not easy. Sending, fetching Anaqin to school daily. Participating in his projects, bathing, feeding, playing, putting them to nap/sleep. Now don't get me wrong. It's not like I've never done these before when I was working .. but this time round, I've got to do everything single-handedly and everyday! It's tiring without a doubt but at the end of the day, no matter how exhausted I am .. it always leaves a smile on face. Like a sense of satisfaction.

Well .. can't stay long now .. so till my next entry, take care my lovelies! Mwwaaahh xxx!

Updates on Aniq & the HFMD

The blister like rashes on his foot and palms are quite bad. But he do not have any fever to date. And he's feeling much better now. Running around the house as usual. However his appetite is still bad due to the ulcers in his mouth. Since he's not drinking milk from his milk bottle, I've been spoon-feeding him the milk instead; with small amount of plain water in between. He took a 2hr nap this afternoon. Poor baby. Too tired and lack of proper sleep last nite.

Anaqin on the hand still do not have any signs of the HFMD. Still praying hard that he won't get it. I'm going back to work tmrw but Anaqin is still not going to school. I'm keeping him at home this week.

Aniq Gets the HFMD

My poor boy Aniq got infected by the HFMD! My maid called me @ work to inform me that she noticed some red spots on his hands and legs. Without hesitation, I asked for permission from the boss to leave early.

Upon reaching home, I discovered some red spots on his palms. Deep down I knew that this is HFMD coz Anaqin had it when he was 2 yrs plus. Checked Anaqin for the same signs but couldnt find any.

Later in the evening, went to see the pediatrician. My worst nightmare was confirmed. Aniq indeed got infected by HFMD! How the hell he got infected, I dunno. All I know was that my niece Liyana got infected by it on Saturday morning and the last time she visited us was on Thurs nite. Maybe she already got infected by then without us realising it. Sigh. No wonder the past two nites he wasnt his usual self. Refusing his nite feeds and crying in discomfort. Little did we know that he actually got ulcers in his mouth. Sigh.

I've been feeding him small amounts of plain water to keep him hydrated. He just finished his nite feed after much difficulty and crying. Sigh.

I'm taking the day off to monitor the boys. And I'm not allowing Anaqin to go to school either.. just in case. Right now I'm just praying that Anaqin will not get infected. But what are the chances rite? Leaving it all up to HIM. All I'm asking for from HIM is to give me the strength .. it's gonna be sleepless nites for me ...

CCSS Reunion (2nd May @ La Pa Sat)

After 10 years or so, we've finally met again for dinner @ La Pa Sat. It's been great fun catching up on you guys! We're gonna make these gatherings more often .. thank you guys for making the time for the gathering. Keep in touch!

ANIQ ARFAN'S FIRST BASH

We celebrated Aniq's first bash earlier than his actual birthday which is on 12 Feb. Impromtu celebration to be exact. Loads of yummylicious food to go along with the great company of family & friends.

Tho the little one was slightly under the weather on that day, he was still in his cheery mood! Oh btw, Aniq's walking already ... erm to be exact, he's running now! ahaha .. he had start walking when he was 11 mths ... and now mulut sibok nak berbual plak. ehehe. (nanti biler maknye nie ader masa, she'll update more abt his progress yeah).

To all those who graced this bash and make it happened, thank you guys! We heart you!

HER LAST BREATH

Remember I once blog about a friend of mine who had leukemia? Well, she passed away last evening.

Went to pay my last respect to her this morning. Jenazah nya telah selamat dikebumikan tadi.

Al-fateha buat allahyarhama Norahayati bte Kassan. Semoga rohnya dicucuhri rahmat .. insyaallah .. amin.

OUR TENTH YEAR

7th Feb marks the 10th year that we've known each other.

I don't pretend to know what love is for everyone

but I can tell you what it is for me.

Love is knowing all about someone,

and still wanting to be with them more than any other person.

Love is trusting them enough to tell them everything about yourself,

including the things you might be ashamed of.

Love is feeling comfortable and safe with someone,

but still getting weak knees when they walk into a room and smile at you.
