Today baby Anaqin is exactly one month old...oh wow...how time flies huh...seems like only yesterday since I was puffing my life away to bring out lil Anaqin to this world...ekrkekrekr Anyway..here's my baby boy... First photo is when he's just 1 day old.

The Baby Boom Day

Hi to all my fellow bloggers...i know i know...its been sometime since i last update my blog but hey it aint easy managing my new role as a mummy rite now...so many things to do...so little time... Anyway..here's my labour experience.. Saturday 28 Aug 2004 I'm supposed to see my gynae for my check-up. I'm exactly 38 weeks. I was quite nervous when i discovered some brown discharge while i was having my shower. I told mum abt it and she said..it's one of the signs...i was like...oh me gawd... Anyway..upon seeing my gynae i told him abt the discharge. He checked and told us that my cervix had opened 1.5cm!! To think I still feel so normal. He then inserted a tablet to soften the cervix and told me that he'll see me at the hospital later tonite. I'm beginning to panic coz THIS IS IT...this is the moment we've been waiting for. And there's still many things we hvnt do. So upon reaching home, hubz washes the rest of baby's clothes. He then set up the playpen. I was trying to stay calm while the contractions come and go...hubz bought chicken rice for me to eat n i nearly finished the whole box..takut pon takut jugak tapi must fill up my tummy so that i'll hv lots of energy later. At 6pm the contractions r getting closer n closer. More brown discharge to add to that. So i called my gynae. He told me to go to hospital now n he'll see me in an hour's time. So off we go. Checked in the hospital ard 7pm. Doc came to chk my cervix n it's now 3cm. He then burst my waterbag. Told me he'll see me later n deliver the baby tonite or early morning. Water was injected so that i can clear my bowels. The midwives then attached some gadgets onto my tummy to monitor baby's heartbeat. So far the contractions r bearable. I didnt even use the gas mask. Konon2 tu terrer lar..kerkekrke..den when it was unbearable...i snatched the gas mask n breathed into it as if my whole life depended on it! All these while i told hubz to stay away from me...coz i'm tryin to concentrate on the contractions n he'll jus irritate the shit out of me! Later i ask the midwife for the pethidine to calm my nerves. It was injected into my buttock. Sunday 29 Aug 2004 Ard 12 plus i was fully dilated. But my gynae is not ard..he's attendin to another patient at Raffles Hospital so he asked the midwives to stand by in case he cudnt reach on time. Hmm mcm tak confident gitu. I was oh so delighted when i finally see my gynae coming in. Told me to push when the next contraction comes. He was so relaxed all these while..sempat tengok olympic lagik! I failed on my first attempt as i breathed in. Then on the 2nd attempt I use all the energy that i hv to give it a real good push..n then at 1.13am lil Anaqin finally came out! It was an amazing moment. I just cried n cried. And yes my hubz was crying shamelessly too..ekrkekrek..all the pain that i've gone thro suddenly dissapeared..hubz then bang/azan kan lil Anaqin. During this time, I dun even give a damn when the doc was happily sewing me..ekerkekr...gasak lar..jahit lar..the worst is over!! Was wheeled to the ward. Did mass smses to ppl tellin them that i've given birth! Den off to bed. Still can't believe that i've actually given birth..
