Un-Invited Guests

Mr M.I.G.R.A.I.N.E. paid me a visit on Wednesday nite..making my head throbbed, my body ached, and suddenly Miss F.E.V.E.R too wanted to join in the party..forcing me to go and visit the doctor. Given 2 days MC to rest and right now I'm just so HIGH ON DRUGS. Hope the uninvited guests (aka Mr Migraine & Miss Fever) will not extend their visit or else my long weekend is gonna be ruined.. :(

My Cupcake Weekend

I baked some Nutella cupcakes during the weekend..and these good looking muffins tasted just divine ... go on ... try baking them for this long weekend..


Nutella Frosted Cupcakes
10 tbsp(140 grams) butter, softened 3/4 cup white sugar 3 eggs 1/2 tsp vanilla 1 3/4 cups (200 grams) sifted ap flour 1/4 tsp salt 2 tsp baking powder Nutella, approx. 1/3 cup
Preheat oven to 325F. Line 12 muffin tins with paper liners.
Cream together butter and sugar until light, 2 minutes. Add in eggs one at a time, until fully incorporated. Don't worry if the batter doesn't look smooth. Add vanilla. Stir in flour, salt and baking powder until batter is uniform and no flour remains.
Using an ice cream scoop, fill each muffin liner with batter. (I filled the muffin liner with 1 spoonful of batter then layered it with some nutella and topped it off with the batter). They should be 3/4 full, if you're not using a scoop. Top each cake with 1 1/2 tsp Nutella. Swirl Nutella in with a toothpick, making sure to fold a bit of batter up over the nutella.
Bake for 20 minutes.
Remove to a wire rack to cool completely.
Makes 12.

The Painful Experience

Went to Tekka Mall wif Fida & Nora last evening after work to do my eyebrow threading .... and boy will that be my first and last time there. No doubt it's cheaper compared to the one that I frequent ... but it left me feeling painful all over my brows n upper lips ... pedih nak mampos! And she thread 'em thinner than I expected. Lesson learnt : Biar bayar mahal skit asal kan kening tak merana!!.. HEH

Hari Raya Korban

Syukur alhamdulillah..pada tahun ini, aku berpeluang mengerjakan ibadah korban. We left home at 7am and reached Telok Remunia (it's a lil further up after Desaru) ard 10am. It was quite a smooth journey as there are no jam. The lembu that we've bought for the korban was light brown in color and it quietly laid on the ground while waiting to be slaughtered with such willingness..alhamdulillah..next up on my list would be the aqiqah for lil Anaqin..

January Birthday Celebration

It was another birthday celebration. This time round we've decided to have steamboat cum bbq ala Seoul Gardens style at the comfort of our own home. Yours truly also tried her hand on baking the marble cheesecake. The whole thing was a thumbs up!
