My virgin visit to Charco's. Very Kenny Roger's. Lovely chix & ribs & salads! The get-together was a RIOT as usual! hahaha .. to lynn babe .. hv a safe flight back to the land of kangroos!! we'll see u again in a few mths to come!

CCSS KARAOKE - GIRLS NITE (300409)

As expected, only the same old faces made it to the meet-up. Plus another new face! : )

It was a nite full of fun fun fun, sang our lungs out, with lots of giggles all around, followed by late dinner afterwards.

We spent our Earth Hour out of the house .. having dinner at Eatzi .. the food were surprisingly good : )

Ammar and the rest came over to cut a cake for his NINTH birthday. The helper cooked pulut kuning and curry chix and we ordered KFC for the kids.

To Ammar darling .. be a good boy to mommy and ayah, study hard and remember that we love you always .. mmwwaaah!

Pat's HouseWarming (060309)

Went over to Pat's place on Friday after work in a condo @ Bukit Timah. Lovely penthouse indeed. Didnt get to snap much pics as my hp batt was running real low and I needed to make calls to my gfs for the meet-up after that.

Left Pat's place ard 9 plus and made my way to meet Savannah @ Barossa at the Esplanade Mall. Lynn AJ couldnt make it coz both her kids were down with fever and flu. Poor gal .. she was so looking forward to the meet-up. Oh well, well make another one soon. Savannah and I got a lot of catching up to do as it's been years since we last saw each other. Later Acit came to join us, followed by Feroze and Lynn.

It was hiliarious reminiscing the past. My cheeks hurt due to laughing so much. We should do this more often guys! And oh .. I did manage to snap some pics on the meet-up BUT yours truly did something rather stupid ... after I've marked those pics .. I clicked delete instead of sending them via bluetooth to my lappy! I was so frustrated seh. Oh well .. guess we hv to wait to Lynn to upload the pics from her cam.

Friday I'm In Love!

Wheeeeeeeeeeee! It's friday baybeeeey!

Agenda for tonite will be .. a housewarming of an ex-colleague at her condo in Bukit Timah .. followed by a gathering of ex-Siglapians (I know I know I'm from ChaiChee not Siglap but I used to mix around with them since my sista Lynn was schooling there. Heh. So that explains the invite!). Anyway there's just gonna be a small group .. and will be meeting them at Barossa @ the Esplanade. 

Can't wait la. Very excited hor. Hehe .. have fabulousssss weekend everyone! Mmmwwaaaaaah!

Thursday Already?

Wow, time really zoom so fast huh?! Whaddaya know .. it's Thursday already!

Anyway last nite met the husband after work coz he wanted to get the Blackberry Curve phone since Starhub's having a promotion. Just need to pay $100 for recontract and $88 for the phone. Not a bad deal I must say.

We had dinner at the foodcourt in Century Sq. That foodcourt looks so abandoned and lonely lah and the food's not so great! And oh, I got myself a pair of black heels at Pstique : ) however they do not have my size there and then so gotta come back tonite to collect it.

Today is the last day for the 2 remaining staff. Starting from tmrw, there will just be me, an accountant and 2 directors left. Sighhhh.

I plan to go home straight after collecting the shoes later. Been going home late the past few nights. It's really tiring and I miss my boys.

Oh tadi during lunch, I bought hot pipping goreng pisang and asked the makcik for some sambal kicap. Ate the goreng pisang with the sambal kicap and boy was it hot & spicy! Nie baru diriku memberrykan diri. Sakit nyaaah perot mak! hahahaha tu la ader ati nak mkn pedas2 .. nah rasakan! Heh.

Ok doks .. enuff for now .. till tmrw ... hv a tiggeriffic thursday y'all. : )

Itchy Throat!

Woke up with an itchy throat! A sign of an upcoming cough! Lovely! 

Anyway this morning was thankful to see Aniq woken up without any eye discharge tho the eyes are still reddish. And to hear this words .. Mi nak gi ana ah? With his hand gesture and all. Time tu jugak la mcm taknak gi keje tau. Hehe.

Oh I finally got round to running my errands. Darl called later after I've done with everything and we met for dinner at Swensen. Just the two of us. It's been a while and it was lovely : )

The boys as usual are excited to see us home and as usual both boys went to the Daddy first. Kesian Mommy. Hehe.

Ok I gotta run already. Work to do. Water to drink. Ciggie to avoid. Heh. 

A Visit To The Pediatrician

My initial plans to go to the post office to remit money for the helper, to buy their milk formula for the month's stock and to run other errands had to be cancelled due to the call that I got from the helper. Aniq's eyes got worse and it's infected the other eye! So I told the helper to get the boys ready and we'll go to see the pediatrician once I reached home.

We left the house after mahgrib. Called for a cab as it has started to drizzle. Thank god there were not many patients. Hub came straight from work and soon it was our turn. Aniq's eyes was due to an infection. Anaqin was given one day MC. Bill for the 2 boys came out to $178! But it's worth every single cent spent .. just to see them get well.

And oh met an ex schmate, Pian with his wife and 2 girls. Exchange numbers and told him will let him know for the next upcoming gathering.

Early this morning, Aniq asked for milk with his eyes still shut due to the discharge. While he's having his milk, i gently wipe his eyes with a wet towel. My strong boy. Didnt even cry or complain despite all that. 

Took a cab to work. Rain. Lovely weather. To be at home. Oh well. Happy Tuesday everyone.

Gorgeous Looking Monday

Where did we end up yesterday? Where else but Tampines Mall coz it was already late in the evening when we left the house. Darl bought jeans from Jimmy Z and belt from Lee Cooper. The boys got themselves a toy each at Toys R Us. We then had our dinner @ Fish & Co. It was really taxing running after and screaming at 2 boys tau. I told Anaqin that the 2 of two is equivalent to 10 of them! 

This morning, I received a call from Anaqin's teacher. My heart stopped for a moment. Ingat kan apa lah. Rupa-rupa she calls to say that Anaqin told her that he's not well and is very tired and need to rest. Cekik darah kan budak bertuah nie. I told the teacher that I'll get my helper to come and fetch him. 

When I call home just now, the helper told me that Anaqin is fast asleep .. rite after he reached home. Sssheesh .. tu la smlm tido lambat lagik! Mcm2 kerenah betol ah. 

On a brighter note, it's a gorgeous looking monday today! So enjoy peeps : )

Sunday ~ Family Day

So the party that we went to last nite didnt turn that well due to the rain. Luckily the bbq pit was opposite the multi-purpose hall so we took shelter there. Since the boys were not really in a mood for the party .. what with the rain and all, we didnt stay long. Took leave after abt an hour or so.

Gave the boys a quick rinse, before changing them into their PJ and off to bed. Aniq's eye has gotten worse, teary, red and slightly swollen. I'm not sure if it's due to the flu that he's having or is it becoz of the medicine that he took. 

Anaqin woke up coughing quite bad around 3am. Earlier in the afternoon, I gave him the cough mixture that Aniq got from the doc. Seeing him coughing away, I woke up and gave him his last bit of cough medicine from the last visit to the pediatrician. Guess the medicine that we got from the family clinic earlier in the morning didnt go well with them. Told the husband that if their condition worsen, we'll hv to bring them to their normal pediatrician on Monday morning.

We're going out to later after the boys wake up from their nap .. planning to go to Parkway, to jln2 carik makan, carik mainan dan carik la apa2 lagik yg beli tercarik dan terbelik :p

Till tmrw .. remember guys ... it's the dreadful M.O.N.D.A.Y tmrw .. be prepared for the blues .. u've been warned.

One More Down ..

Just came back from the doctor. It's Aniq's turn to get the flu. His nose was dripping since last nite and we've run out of the flu medicine so brought him to the doctor.

Good thing abt Aniq, he's never difficult even when he's not well : )

Hopefully he gets better coz I've got a friend's son birthday party to attend tonite.

Just An Entry

I've made a resolution for this year to blog more regularly and religiously no matter how boring my day is. Then i realised that i've hvnt been doing that and hold and behold .. it's coming to the end of February already! Time just fly by so quickly! 

Ok work has been crazy. People hv been retrenched and right now I'm left with 2 other directors and 1 accountant in the office. Sad but thankful at the same time coz i'm not affected with the current recession.

The husband on the other hand has changed job and back to his old company dealing with shipping, vessels and whatnots. We think that it's a good move coz its more stable and secured compared to his previous sales line.

The boys. They've been a handful alrite. Anaqin was down with a cough earlier this week but am recovering. Aniq has been blabbering foreign language to himself lately. Never fail to put a smile on one's face with his attics. He's still calling me Mie only ;p

Myself? Alhamdulillah, i've managed to control my anxiety attacks from re-occurring .. learning to calm myself and not worry too much. Family and friends have been such a great support. Without them, I dont think I can go thro this by myself.

Ok dokey, that's enuff entry for a day huh? hehehe .. not bad i must say.

Let's see if I can blog again tmrw ... heh.

My Best Friend's Wedding

My best pal Nad finally tied a knot to Wan on the 26th December 2008. Congrats love! Wishing you guys many many more blissful years to come ..

Didnt hv a proper camera with me to take the photos .. therefore had to make do with my hp which went flat on me on Sunday.

First Entry For 2009

Soooo it's already the 3rd day of the new year. How time flies. In a blink of an eye, we watched 2008 flew past us. A year full of memorable memories, some good, some bad, some happy, some sad.

Highlights of 2008 include:

• Anaqin's very first step to school. We are definitely proud of the progress he made eversince he starts schooling.

• The wedding of some important people in my live. My brother Apit finally tied a knot to long time girlfriend/fiancee Fida on 15 Nov 08. Whilst my best friend Nad married Wan on 26 Dec 08. I wish both couples many-many more wonderful years to come, insyaallah dan semoga tetap bahagia dan berkekalan. 

• The birth of a beautiful baby girl by another good friend of mine, Warda.

• Marks the 10th year that the husband and I got to know each other.

• The passing of a good friend Nora who lost the battle of leukemia. Semoga Allah mencucuhri rahmat ke atas roh beliau.

• Aniq got infected with HFMD. Alhamdulillah he recovered fast and despite being together, Anaqin was not affected.

• I got diagnosed with undergoing depression and anxiety. Had the anxiety attack twice already now. I need to make sure that I have a proper diet/meals and sleep pattern and try not to worry unnecessarily. 

Hmmm I'm pretty sure that's more events that's worth to be mentioned but at this very moment, I can't think of any more.

So I guess I've got to end this entry for now. Till then ..
