The Waiting Game

Went for my check-up this afternoon wif Mak. I'm 38 weeks plus now but so far no signs of labour yet except for the occasional Braxton Hicks. Weight is exactly the same like 2 wks ago but baby's now weighing @ 2.9kg.

My maternity leave starts today; da tak larat lagik nak go work. Takut2 tergive birth @ work plak! Anyway I need to rest my body mind and soul before the baby is born.

Alhamdulillah, most of the baby stuff are now ready. Went to Parkway Parade yesterday to get the baby's drawer and last nite jugak we clean up the room to make way for the drawer and I've placed all his clothes and other stuff there.

We're now living in suspense ... waiting for the final hour to arrive. Darl kept reminding me to call him in the office once the labour starts. I hold my breath every time I experience the Braxton Hicks ... wondering if this is IT! I kept checking my pantyliner every time I ease myself ... waiting to see the SHOW. I can't sleep well ... afraid that I'll burst my waterbag and wet the bed. It's crazy ... coz I'm supposed to be more prepared for labour but instead I'm feeling more paranoid. I guess it's becoz I know how's the pain like and since this has been a difficult pregnancy compared to my first one, I'm worried that the labour is gonna be more difficult too. I've been praying day in day out hoping that I'll have a smooth delivery but it's up to HIM to determine that.

I'm supposed to see the doctor in a week's time IF I haven't given birth by then. We'll see how it goes ... and I'll keep you guys updated insyaallah. Till then, a little prayer from you is all I need to make me go thro this labour safe and smooth. Insyaallah. Thank you.
