If you're residing in the East side, and takes the train, you'll probably heard abt the mrt incident at Tampines last evening. I was in the train on my way home when they announced that we hv to alight at Tanah Merah station due to an accident at Tampines. Berderau darah sekejapan coz I think this is the first time it happened at Tampines station. Anyway, we alighted and board the next train. Terserempak plak ngan Su. Nasib ader kawan bleh dok berbual :D. When we reached Tampines station, the platform heading to town was already sealed. A train stopped halfway at the tracks. But no body or whatsoever. They must hv removed it already.
The platform was crowded and slightly chaotic. People slowed down trying to have a sneak peek but there's nothing to look at. Outside the station, there was an ambulance and fire engine. Bid farewell to Su and headed to the interchange. I dare not go to the scene. Ngeri ku!
The news of the accident didnt even come out. I guess it must be a suicide again...haizzz..agaknye it's the IN thing to commit suicide at MRT tracks eh. Nauzubillah!!

Didn't hear about it. Was headed the opposite way. Yeah, makin ramai pulak yang terkorban on the tracks.
yes, i was there too yesterday..nasib baik yesterday,planing to go back to mum's place kat tampines..no service at all from tamp to pasir ris in both direction..kalau semalam kena balik punggol, will take hours to reach...i agree with you..seems like commit suicide kat MRT track is the IN thing..no more jumping on high floors..

" At about 6.30pm, a fifty year old Chinese man fell onto the west-bound tracks and was hit by an in-coming train. He died on the spot.
The Civil Defence took a long time to extract his body. Passenger service only resumed at 7.30pm.
SMRT had activated their buses immediately to ferry passengers between Tampines and Pasir Ris Stations. It was the evening peak hour and the disruption affected more than 5,000 passengers.
Police have classified the case as "unnatural death".
Passengers who were unable to complete their journey because of the disruption can get a refund from the station control within the next 3 working days."
I rasakan, mereka bukan korban nahas...tapi sengaja mengorbankan diri...Is there anything that SMRT boleh buat to keep the bay clear of potential pembunuh diri.....?

ar.. i was hoping mrt would buat glass panel cam yg kat underground.. yg org tu kalau akal sudah tak stable 1 thing.. budak2 kadang memain kat platform lagi 1 hal..
Maybe there should be a clause that says " No insurance will be payout due to suicide at MRTs.."..huh..in this case, sesapa yg nak cepat mati pasal nak dapat insurance payout will consider 1000 kali...tapi kalau yg tak sayang nyawa, dan nak mati 'glamer'..sedia lah...MRT takkan bertanggungjawab with their decisions watso-ever..haha
masuk keje tadi pagi baru budak2 bilang ada accident kat mrt. Selalu pagi2 naik mrt kat situ nak jugak jengok2 saper lah the next stuntman ,,,hehehehe
Was on d train which d evacuated train passengers had to board from Tanah Merah...Anyway,told my colleague about it today and she said that the guy who died was her bf's colleague from the airport. Decided to end his life cos he owed a lot of people $...

I just imagine the train drivers will have nightmare... police always saying " unnatural death" even at Eunos Station said the same ...

Nauzubbilah..Sekarang dah jadi common eh org mati @ MRT station..It's either tak sengaja or disengajakan..I think it's the easiest way of committing suicide..Kalau betul suicide, iskh, ngeri..Kalau dulu, org terjun flat, sekarang punya trend org terjun platform..
hey layla, We waited till the mayat kena angkat to the Police Van.... Dah berkecai pun. When they dragged the mayat out, mcm mayat budak very the small rupa rupa dah berkecai.... Sad huh,,, Tak salah pompuan.
guess e fella decided to die at tampines cos clementi dah cukup quota kot...hehehe..nway it's getting to b very common nowadays to jump in front of a train...
