My poor boy Aniq got infected by the HFMD! My maid called me @ work to inform me that she noticed some red spots on his hands and legs. Without hesitation, I asked for permission from the boss to leave early.
Upon reaching home, I discovered some red spots on his palms. Deep down I knew that this is HFMD coz Anaqin had it when he was 2 yrs plus. Checked Anaqin for the same signs but couldnt find any.
Later in the evening, went to see the pediatrician. My worst nightmare was confirmed. Aniq indeed got infected by HFMD! How the hell he got infected, I dunno. All I know was that my niece Liyana got infected by it on Saturday morning and the last time she visited us was on Thurs nite. Maybe she already got infected by then without us realising it. Sigh. No wonder the past two nites he wasnt his usual self. Refusing his nite feeds and crying in discomfort. Little did we know that he actually got ulcers in his mouth. Sigh.
I've been feeding him small amounts of plain water to keep him hydrated. He just finished his nite feed after much difficulty and crying. Sigh.
I'm taking the day off to monitor the boys. And I'm not allowing Anaqin to go to school either.. just in case. Right now I'm just praying that Anaqin will not get infected. But what are the chances rite? Leaving it all up to HIM. All I'm asking for from HIM is to give me the strength .. it's gonna be sleepless nites for me ...

My poor li'l boy...i doa kan Anaqin cepat sembuh...layla. knowing him yang takut makan ubat...hehehe juz b extra carefully je...HFMD is getting more serious nw a days...tapi mcm mane Liyana bole dapat eh??!! If Aniq has gotten the same strain of HFMD virus as Anaqin's, you dont have to worry pasal Anaqin will be immune to it. Tapi kalau its a different strain, then kena jaga-jaga. That's what my gp told me. Hopefully he'll get well soon.

non.. it's Aniq la who got the HFMD not Anaqin. Aniq got no problem in taking medicine cuma now coz dlm mulut dia ader ulcers .. ader skit susah. I dunno how Liyana got it. thanks babe for the well wishes.
yea u're rite. but kids are more prone to getting it. lagipon i'll rather we adults get it than the kids kan. sigh.

ahahaha it's ok. mak paham. mmg pon spelling dorang akan2. anyway yeah dia tak tak nak susu & makan as usual. tapi i still give him milk dlm cawan pakai spoon la. tho, it's not as much compared to taking it from the bottle, it's better than nothing kan. sigh. stress stress.

Hey la..take care yeah.. just give a lots of fluids... fruits also helps to increase fluids intake.. eg: watermelon..
Hope he recovers fast !! I know how stressful it can be. My 2 older girls got it before and I had to literally keep the place clean, mopping and wiping tables & chairs with dettol a few times a day so that the baby won't get it. Take care sis
